CLUB CHARTERS ARE ALWAYS A LOT OF FUN, HERE IS A LOOK BACK AT TRIPS WE HAVE ENJOYED TOGETHER!
The weather calmed and a nice day turned into a very successful boat limit of blackfish to 7.5 lbs.
Tale of two trips built into one! Fog early and no real good fluke drifts in morning , then weather awesome and warm and porgies were biting un-reel!
Porgies saved the day and seabass were the heartbreakers of the trip as the ASMFC hadn't let NY fisherman fish for them yet.
Long time members and new members alike enjoyed the day and we continued to build a nice commaraderie amongst the membership!
THE DAYS CATCH INCLUDED 45 KEEPERS AND A FAIRLY COMPETATIVE BATTLE FOR THE POOL.
PETE HAD A GREAT DAY AS HE SHOWED EVERYONE HOW IT'S DONE!
TED HAD A COUPLE OF REEL NICE FISH AND PUT THAT ATLANTIC CUSTOM ROD TO THE TEST.
HANGING OUTSIDE LATER IN THE TRIP A BIT LESS COMFTORABLE AS THE WINDS WERE KICKING UP OUT OF THE WEST AND THE SUN SEEMED TO STAY ON THE PORT SIDE ALL AFTERNOON. MARK DIDNT FISH THE SHADE ALL DAY, BUT WAS NONE THE WORSE FOR IT.
EARLY ON THERE WERE SOME BIG FISH BROUGHT UP, THEN THE REST OF THE DAY THE SIZE OF THE KEEPERS WENT DOWN AND THE SHORTS MADE A BIGGER PRESENCE.
SOME OF THE HAUL. SOME OF US LIMITED OUT, OTHERS WEREN'T AS LUCKY, BUT THATS FISHING! EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME
Rest In Peace
I pray that I may live
to fish.......
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to
my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged Big enough to keep.
Rest in Peac Sheila
